Communication training courses for scientists (written and verbal) are offered periodically through the Science Communications Unit at SAASTA, through which PUB is implemented. To receive updates on upcoming opportunities, join PubNet or contact info@saasta.ac.za.
Every opportunity is given to provide students of biotechnology and related fields to gain experience and knowledge by becoming facilitators at PUB exhibits around the country. If you are currently studying biotechnology or a related field and would like to know more about becoming a PUB exhibit facilitator, please email your CV to info@pub.ac.za.
The PUB Programme offers a basic biotechnology course for those with no knowledge of biotechnology and is open to those with no or limited science background. It can be adapted and tailored to specific needs and time constraints (from a few hours to whole days), although is best suited to adults or Grade 8 learners upwards.
